Extract the bat file to the root of drive C.
Open the MS-DOS Prompt. Click START/Programs/Accessories/MS-DOS Prompt
Type the following line, press <enter>.
CD\

Usage: EXF <filename> <CD-ROM>
 <filename> = The name of the file you wish to extract.
 <CDROM> = CD-ROM drive letter. 
 (Use small letters only)
 (Drive letter Not needed if base2.cab is on your computer)
 
Example: EXF brpinfo.dll d

If you can not replace a file, then you will have to run it from the "Windows Startup Disk"
Bootup using the "Windows Startup Disk"
If you have BASE2.CAB on your computer, then select "no CD-ROM support". 
Otherwise select CD-ROM support and insert the Windows ME CD.

At the A:\> prompt, type the following line, and press <entert>.

C:

Note the colon after C.
Proceed at indicated above.
